What changes in the shingle
Asphalt is supple when new because of the light oils it contains. Strong sun evaporates those oils year after year, so the shingle turns rigid. Rigid shingles split along their edges as the roof expands and contracts, and the mineral grit on top works loose.
Our treatment is a soy-based product applied as a fine, even spray. Over the following hours it migrates into the asphalt and restores much of its pliability, which in turn helps each shingle keep a tighter grip on its surface grit.
The realistic payoff
For asphalt shingles that have aged without breaking down, the usual result is five to seven additional years before replacement becomes a real conversation. We check that your shingles are in that category before quoting.

Questions about the treatment
Will my roof change color?
It may look a shade deeper for a few weeks before settling. There is no gloss or painted look.
Is it safe for my garden and pets?
The product comes from soybeans. We still cover plants, ask that pets stay inside during application, and rinse anything that catches mist.
Do I need to stay home?
No. As long as we can reach the side yards and gutters, you can carry on with your day.
