Shade and humidity make Temple Terrace roofs prime ground for algae and moss. A soft wash clears it without the damage a pressure washer causes, and leaves the roof looking its age again rather than older.

The dark streaks are a hardy algae that feeds on limestone filler in shingles. Moss and lichen follow where shade keeps the surface damp. Blasting them off with high pressure tears away the granules that protect the asphalt underneath.
We apply a cleaning solution at very low pressure, give it time to work, and rinse gently. The growth breaks down, the roof brightens, and the shingle surface is left whole.

Cushions of growth that hold water against the roof.
Discoloration from oaks and other overhanging trees.
Shrubs get soaked and sheeted; drains and runoff routes are checked.
The solution is laid on at low pressure and allowed to dwell.
Roof and surroundings are rinsed thoroughly, then each slope is inspected.
Not usually. Shingles must dry completely first, so treatment follows on a later dry day.
It depends on how much shade the roof gets. Heavily shaded roofs may need a light wash again sooner than open ones.
Phone us with a rough description of the growth. After a quick visit we will confirm the cause and price the cleaning.
